Neighborhood Partnerships has convened the Oregon Housing Alliance since its inception in 2004. This powerful coalition brings together over 100 organizations from across the state – from tenant advocacy groups and housing providers to local governments and community nonprofits – all united by the belief that every Oregonian deserves a home that is affordable, stable, accessible, and safe.
We are proud to unveil our 2025 Legislative Agenda—a comprehensive plan designed to tackle the housing challenges facing our state today. It focuses on boosting the production of new affordable units while preserving the existing stock, strengthening protections for tenants, and securing sustainable funding sources for housing programs. These efforts are aimed at reducing housing instability and making home security a reality for families and individuals alike.
Our agenda also emphasizes the importance of fairness and community empowerment. We are committed to advancing equity in housing policy by addressing systemic disparities that have long left marginalized communities behind. This broad-spectrum approach not only supports renters and homeowners but also helps build stronger, more resilient communities across Oregon.
By addressing both the immediate need to protect low-income Oregonians from evictions and homelessness and the long-range imperative to produce and preserve affordable homes and expand access to homeownership, our 2025 Legislative Agenda represents a roadmap to a more just and thriving Oregon. It is a call to action for legislators, community members, and advocates to work together to ensure that every Oregonian has a home that is affordable, stable, accessible, and safe.
