On October 19th, over 80 people came together from all corners of the state for the 2023 IDA Day! Together in Salem, staff from the IDA Initiative’s broad network of community-based organizations gathered to network, share strategies, celebrate accomplishments, and learn best practices as we work to advance economic justice in Oregon. IDA Day featured an inspiring panel of past and current IDA savers (shout out Tischa, Chris, Cynthia, Ashley, Lindsey, and Lorri!) who shared their stories, wisdom, and personal experiences with the program. Guest speakers for the day included Camille Trummer on Narrative Change for Economic Justice, and Veronica Bañuelos as we explored slowing down as a strategy (plus we all got a dope SLOW DOWN t-shirt). Participants left well fed, connected, and inspired to take lessons learned back to their organizations and communities.
