IDA Day 2023 was a great success!

On October 19th, over 80 people came together from all corners of the state for the 2023 IDA Day! Together in Salem, staff from the IDA Initiative’s broad network of community-based organizations gathered to network, share strategies, celebrate accomplishments, and learn best practices as we work to advance economic justice in Oregon. IDA Day featured an inspiring panel of past and current IDA savers (shout out Tischa, Chris, Cynthia, Ashley, Lindsey, and Lorri!) who shared their stories, wisdom, and personal experiences with the program. Guest speakers for the day included Camille Trummer on Narrative Change for Economic Justice, and Veronica Bañuelos as we explored slowing down as a strategy (plus we all got a dope SLOW DOWN t-shirt). Participants left well fed, connected, and inspired to take lessons learned back to their organizations and communities.

A huge THANK YOU sponsors of the event, who helped ensure a meaningful, impactful, and FREE event for attendees. Thank you to platinum sponsors OnPoint Community Credit Union and Umpqua Bank, Gold sponsor Point West Credit Union, Silver sponsors Oregon Housing and Community Services, The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation, and Business Oregon, and Bronze sponsors AARP Oregon, Maps Community Foundation, and Banner Bank. Last but not least, a big thank you to the NP staff who worked behind the scenes to make it all possible: randy corradine, Amy Stuczynski, Derrick Taruc, Jane Rosenstein, Monica Flechtner, Margot Fisher, Ally Watson, Luke Bonham, and Randy Lucas.
